My aunt used to send me my cousin's old hockey jerseys to re-sew. Recently I ran across an entire rack of them and began brainstorming styles that could employ the mesh, which is a bit rigid and slippery.
Plaid patterns are always appealing to me, and I especially love wool blankets. I gathered a few woolly skirts and pieced them with the hockey mesh as the lining:
Girls size 6, I was even able to put it on comfortably so it should fit for many years!
Fabrics have previously been machine washed and dried, you may want to dry clean.
